APPLICANT QUESTIONS

  • We prefer your story/narrative to be no longer than 3 pages.

  • Firstly, congratulations on being accepted! Regarding the letter of recommendation, you have a few options. If you are currently employed, you can have your employer write a letter of recommendation. If you have been accepted into a graduate program, one of your undergraduate professors can write a letter of recommendation. An ecclesiastical leader can also provide a letter of recommendation. Lastly, if you are working closely with a counselor at school (e.g., academic, women’s success center, or financial), they can also write a letter of recommendation for you.

  • We understand there is a fee for an official transcript; you are welcome to upload an unofficial transcript or any document that shows you are attending school.

  • The Live Your Dream Foundation board will review all applications and select candidates for interviews. You will receive an email notifying you whether you have been selected or not.

  • Congratulations on being selected for an interview! Please treat the interview as you would a job interview. You will be asked questions about your story, school, career goals, etc.

  • If you live within 30 miles of the Live Your Dream office in Provo, Utah, we strongly encourage an in-person interview. However, if you cannot attend the interview in person, there is always the option for a virtual interview. Once selected, we will send you an email with instructions on how to sign up for an interview timeslot. Please indicate that you are signing up for a virtual interview. You will be provided with the necessary details for the online meeting via email.

  • You will receive an email letting you know if you were selected for the scholarship.

  • If you were selected for the scholarship – CONGRATULATIONS! A Live Your Dream Foundation board member will work with you in sending the funds to your school to be applied to your tuition, fees, or books.

  • Absolutely! After you apply the first time, it is much easier; you do not need a letter of recommendation or proof of admission to your school. All you need to do is update your story and financials!

  • Of course! We support single mothers who want to gain an education that will increase their earning potential to better provide for their children: college, university, technical school, bootcamp, etc.
